The FAA has a Public Notice announcement on USAJOBS. This is a large, blanket announcement for all engineering specialties across Aircraft Certification at several grades. FAA Flight Test’s target audience is, I-Band, Flight Test Engineers.
A couple key points:
- While the posting does not specify this, when the candidate goes through official qualification with HR; that will be done against our FAA Flight Test position description which does require an FAA Medical and they would be subject to drug/alcohol testing.
- We are only considering current FAA Flight Test locations. (Westbury, NY; Burlington, MA; Hapeville, GA; Des Plaines, IL; Kansas City, MO; Wichita, KS; Fort Worth, TX; Des Moines, WA; Lakewood, CA; Anchorage, AK.)
- Please make sure resumes are overtly labeled to call attention to the desire to be considered in Flight Test.
