The Flight Test Safety Committee (FTSC), in conjunction with The Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP) and the Society of Flight Test Engineers (SFTE), will hold the European Flight Test Safety Workshop on 4 - 5 November 2025 at the Starhotels Savoia Excelsior Palace - Trieste, Italy. The purpose of the Safety Workshop is to provide an open forum where flight test safety issues can be presented, discussed and probed with other members and disciplines of the flight test community. Mr. Marco Rizzato of Pipistrel is coordinating the event. This event will be in the style of a workshop with an interactive tutorial and technical presentations. We expect plenty of audience participation and discussion. THIS WORKSHOP IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. MONDAY, 3 NOVEMBER – INFORMAL GATHERING: A no-host gathering will be held at le Rive Lounge Bar in the hotel, Savoia Excelsior Palace. Join us for socializing & networking from 6:00-8:00pm. No RSVP required. TUESDAY, 4 NOVEMBER – WORKSHOP TUTORIAL: A tutorial will kick off the Workshop and explore the topic of Production Flight Test. The Tutorial will begin at 8:00am in the Tergeste Room, if staying at the hotel, breakfast is included in your room rate. Lunch will be served from 12:30 - 1:30 pm in the hotel's Restaurant Savoy. The Tutorial Presentation schedule is below. TUESDAY, 4 NOVEMBER – PIPISTREL TOUR: BUS IS FULL - NO LONGER ACCEPTING ATTENDEES FOR TOUR The technical tour will take place after lunch and finish by 6:00pm. Full Name (as it appears on your photo ID), Date of Birth, Country of Citizenship and Employer Name are needed in advance of the Tour for the security clearance process. Attendees will need to show a valid government ID with photo on the day of the Tour. Passports not required but may be simplest for International attendees. No photographs are allowed inside the facility. There is no cost for the tour but seats are limited to the first 55 attendees who sign up by 22 October. Bus transportation will be provided to Pipistrel and depart the hotel at 1:40pm SHARP. More details on the bus pick-up location will be provided at the venue. We anticipate the bus will arrive back at the hotel by about 6:00pm, depending on traffic. Thank you to Pipistrel for sponsoring the tour and bus. Tuesday evening is open, as no Workshop event is scheduled. The Keynote Dinner and presentation of the Best Paper Award will start at 7:30pm in the Tergeste Room .
