Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full systems engineering process, from stakeholder needs to system requirements and specifications.
- Develop and maintain system models using SysML (a modeling language) to document system design and ensure accuracy.
- Support testing, quality assurance, and safety analysis for aircraft systems.
- Coordinate with the FLRAA (Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft) program and vendors to align digital engineering efforts.
- Assist with airworthiness certification and testing processes.
- Identify risks and solutions when technical or user needs change.
- Promote the use of MBSE and DE in the Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) program.
Requirements:
- Education: Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Security Clearance: Secret or Interim Secret clearance.
- Experience:
- At least 5 years in MBSE, using tools like Cameo/NoMagic for SysML modeling.
- 2+ years as a technical or project lead for MBSE projects.
- 1+ year managing Cameo Teamwork Cloud (e.g., user access, model management).
- 1+ year in an aviation program management office.
- 1+ year with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
- 1+ year with DoD 5000 Series Defense Acquisition System.
- 1+ year with Army Rotorcraft MOSA strategies (e.g., FACE, HOST, SOSA).
- Knowledge:
- Army rotorcraft safety and airworthiness standards.
- Preferably familiar with the FVL Architecture Framework.
