Mr. Bob Moreau is an Associate Fellow and life member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots, as well as a life member of the Society of Flight Test Engineers.
Employed by FedEx Express, working on Strategic Projects, he is responsible for the conduct of experimental flight test activities in support of supplemental type certificate programs on both FedEx fleet aircraft, as well as non-FedEx customer aircraft. He holds a delegation as an FAA test pilot designated engineering representative. He has flown 12,000 hours in over 100 types of aircraft and holds type-ratings for 19 different types of transport category airplanes.
He has a master’s degree with a concentration in flight test engineering for both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, taught advanced aerodynamics at Utah Valley University, and has been a visiting scholar at M.I.T. He also spent 9 years within the FedEx training and flight standards group serving as an instructor, check airman, and pilot examiner.
When not playing with aircraft for a living he likes to play with them for fun: A Cessna 310 for traveling right-side up, and a Yak-52 for not traveling, upside down.
