KBR is seeking an MH-60R Developmental Test Pilot to join our team in Patuxent River, Md. By joining KBR, you will be a part of the world’s largest independent flight test organization supporting both U.S. Government and Commercial Agencies. Our highly talented and experienced aircrew services team has provided over 40 continuous years of Aircrew project support at Patuxent River. As a long-term incumbent and leader in flight test, the selected applicant will work within the NAVAIR test community composed of government, military, contractor, and industry personnel while supporting flight test.
Position Description/Job Responsibilities:
This position supports HX-21 Developmental Test and Evaluation at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), NAS Patuxent River, MD.
The selected candidate must be able to perform the duties of an MH-60R developmental test pilot, project officer and post maintenance check pilot.
The selected candidate will support a wide range of NAWCAD test and evaluation requirements to include:
- Test planning meetings
- Test plan development
- Event planning
- Test procedure and card development,
- Flight briefings
- Test execution
- Post event support
- Test reporting
- Deficiency reporting
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/technical degree.
- A rotary wing pilot graduate of a full-length course of instruction from a recognized test pilot school (e.g., the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, Empire Test Pilot School, EPNER Test Pilot School, etc.).
- Minimum Ten (10) years of experience.
- Two (2) years of rotary wing RDT&E flight experience Five (5) years of rotary wing RDT&E flight experience is preferred.
- Previous or current MH-60R/S aircraft qualification.
- Minimum of 1,500 hours in rotary wing aircraft. 1,000 hours in MH-60R/S aircraft is highly desired.
- Current aircraft qualification and recent experience with rotary wing T&E techniques, concepts, principles, and practices preferred.
- Candidate must be able to pass the physical and training qualification requirements to provide contract aircrew support, including completion of Navy water survival and aviation physiology training, as well as annual FAA Class II flight physical.
- Travel, sometimes extensive, will be required to support this position.
Security Clearance Requirement:
- Secret OR able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
Contract requirements will prevail.

Position Description/Job Responsibilities:
This position supports Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Two Zero (VX-20) E-2C/D developmental test and evaluation at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) and will actively participate in E-2 developmental flight testing as an Engineering Test Pilot.
Candidate will be required to perform a variety of tasks that support flight testing including;
- Development of test plans and detailed test procedures.
- Pre-mission planning, mission briefing.
- Conducting functional check and engineering test flights.
- Evaluation of simulator devices.
- Data collection during ground and flight tests.
- Post-flight liaison with maintenance and engineering representatives.
- Mission debriefing.
- Drafting post-flight reports/deficiencies.
- Participation in technical meetings.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (degree in Engineering/Technical Degree preferred).
- Minimum six (6) years of experience.
- A minimum of 1000 hours in the E-2 and/or C-2 aircraft.
- Past (required) or current (preferred) designation as a Carrier AEW Plane Commander or C-2A Transport Plane Commander.
- Organize and demonstrate effective oral and written communications and operate in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
- Operate effectively at remote work sites without direct supervision.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and similar computer-based productivity applications.
- Candidate must be able to pass the physical and training qualification requirements to provide contract aircrew support, including completion of Navy water survival and aviation physiology training, as well as annual FAA Class II flight physical.
- Most work will be conducted on-site at NAS Patuxent River, MD, however, some domestic travel will be required in support of flight test activities.
- Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:
- Graduate from U.S. Naval Test Pilot School (TPS), U.S. Air Force TPS, Empire TPS or EPNER TPS.
- Current or former designation as a NATOPS Instructor Pilot is strongly.
- E-2D experience and two (2) years RDT&E flight experience.
Security Clearance Requirement:

KBR is seeking a C/KC-130 Pilot to join our Team. In this role, you will be working for the long-term incumbent and leader in flight test and will work within the NAVAIR test community composed of government, military, contractor and industry personnel while supporting flight test.

Role and Responsibilities:
- This position supports tasking at the Naval Air Warfare Center, VX-20 at NAS Patuxent River, MD
- Supports Flight Test, Aerial Refueling, NVIS flights, logistics, and post maintenance check flying as an Aircraft Commander across legacy and J-model C-130 platforms.
- Directs aircraft operations planning, scheduling, execution and reporting in support of collateral tasks within the customer flight program.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 1500 pilot hours in the C-130 aircraft and have been designated as an Aircraft Commander in the C-130.
- Instructional experience or designation as a flight crew check pilot and a Type/Model/Series Instructor in both J and Legacy C-130 aircraft platforms desired
- Must be FAA or Military instrument flight rule certified and have at least an FAA Commercial Pilots License with Multi-Engine Land rating.
- Navy Aeromedical standard service group 1 or FAA CFR Part 67 Second-Class Airman Medical certified required
- Must meet current CNAF 3710.7 series physical and physiological minimums for C-130 T/M/S aircrew positions.
- Support all aspects of flight test as project officer in addition to instructing, logistics, and post maintenance check flying.
- Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- An active secret level security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Engineering Degree.
- RDT&E flight experience and C-130 NATOPS instructor qualification.
- KC-130 F, R, T, or J model type of aircraft experience preferred.
