Position Title: Rotary Wing Flight Test Pilot Instructor (FTI)

Turkish Aerospace is looking for qualified candidates for a Rotary Wing Test Pilot Instructor in support of Turkish Aerospace Test Pilot School (TATPS) which is scheduled to operate in the beginning of 2020. Scope:

In this role you will be instructing in Test Pilot/FTE Training flights and work as part of a team developing flight test training course material. You are also expected to instruct on rotary wing performance, flying qualities and systems curriculum in the scope of flight test exercises.

Required Education, Training & Experience Criteria:

  1. Test Pilot Graduate of a SETP recognized test pilot school (Full Course/Cat 1/Class A course)
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related to flight testing field (or significant equivalent experience).
  3. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Rotary Wing Experimental Test Pilot.
  4. Class II medical or equivalent.
  5. Commercial Pilot License (CPL-H).
  6. Category I Flight Test Instructor (FTI) rating, with minimum 2 years of experience.
  7. Fluent in English.

Desired Education, Training & Experience Criteria:

  1. Previous test pilot school teaching experience.
  2. EASA Category I FTI rating and test pilot rating.
  3. Test experience in Helicopter Civil Certification Process.
  4. Current in flying
  5. Personal Security Clearance.
  6. Class I Medical or equivalent
  7. Master’s or above Degree in Engineering or closely related to flight testing field (or significant equivalent experience).

We provide a competitive salary and benefits package. Related to this position, there might be occasional travels or field trips as part of the training activities. An initial contract will be offered with a commitment of 3-plus years on negotiable terms. A shorter term contract requests will be evaluated case by case.
