The Society of Experimental Test Pilots Great Lakes Symposium will be held at the Consolidated Club & Conference Center, Wright-Patterson AFB OH. Robbie Robinson (AF), ATK, is the Chairman of this event. The symposium will begin at 8:00 AM on Thursday and adjourn at 4:00 PM. B/G Chris Bogdan, USAF, is the guest luncheon speaker. A joint reception and dinner with the Society of Flight Test Engineers will follow the symposium. Note: The Conference Center requires access to Area A of Wright-Patterson AFB. Attendees who do not have access must register on this site so base entry can be coordinated.
THURSDAY –19 MAY – REGISTRATION: A registration desk will be located in the Club’s Dining Room beginning at 7:30 AM. Those who have not pre-registered may do so at this time – if they have base access. The registration fee is $25 and includes sessions, coffee breaks, continental breakfast and a buffet lunch on Thursday, 19 May. NOTE: THE DEADLINE FOR REFUNDS ON CANCELLATIONS IS FRIDAY, 13 MAY. TECHNICAL SESSIONS: The program will begin at 8:00 AM in the Main Dining Room. Dress for the symposium is Business casual/military equivalent.
LUNCHEON: The Luncheon speaker will be B/G Chris Bogdan (M), USAF, KC-X PEO and Program Director.
JOINT SETP/SFTE DINNER: The Wright Chapter of the Society of Flight Test Engineers (SFTE) is proud to host a joint SETP dinner after the symposium. The joint dinner will be in the Wright Room of the historic Engineers Club of Dayton (110 East Monument Avenue). All symposium attendees are invited, and encouraged to include spouses and guests. All will enjoy the camaraderie of this rare social gathering of flight test professionals. The dinner will include a short ceremony to officially install the officers of the SFTE Wright Chapter. The cost is $35 per person. Social no-host cocktail reception begins at 6:00pm with a cash bar, and dinner buffet begins at 7:00pm. Menu entrees are Chicken Cordon Bleu and Top Round of Beef. Guests may park free of charge in the Engineers Club designated lots around the club. The dinner speaker will be Mr. Tom Walters (M); he will be discussing the flight test planning activities for the new Wright B Flyer.
